My dad passed away in November of 2020 from serious COVID-19 complications. James Wesley Jones spent his life helping those who needed it most. In an effort to figure out how I could honor his memory, I decided to use my talent as a writer to start this website.
James Wesley “Jay” Jones was 65 when he passed away after fighting a heroic battle with COVID-19. He served many years as the Vice President of Finance at Oklahoma Christian University, where I went to school. His compassion for coworkers, family, friends and anyone in need made him unique, as he truly loved helping people.
Jay also served as the CEO for Tealridge in Edmond, Oklahoma. He always looked for opportunities to serve as a Godly servant to help those around him or anyone in need. He is survived by my mother, Montine Jones.
He also was very blessed to have four children: Michele Kelsey (me) and my spouse Bryan, Jake Jones and his spouse Becca, Grace Mercer and her spouse Mark, and Ryan Jones and his spouse India. He also had 9 loving grandchildren who he loved to spoil: Finley, Cooper, Ryker, Scout, Sawyer, Ike, Elliot, Hobie, and Blaise.
