DIY and personalized gifts for men, especially boyfriends and husbands, are all the rage right now. I don’t know if men love the mushy stuff as much as women do, but it is meaningful, and some men are soft-hearted and eager for a special gift that their gal made for them.
When your husband or man works hard all day at his job, he might wonder how much you appreciate all he does for you, his family, or even just himself. Taking care of himself financially is something to be proud of, so a gratitude gift, personalized or not, is a special thing!
If you are interested in making a DIY gift for your guy or buying a personalized gift for him, be sure to read the carefully selected gift ideas in this post. I purchase this kind of gift (or make it) often, so we have a houseful of beautiful, specially-designed items that mean a lot to us.

Personalized Gifts for Men
I love my husband a lot, but I have not purchased ALL of these items for him. I do, however, prefer a personalized gift so that we are able to add the date and our initials or monogram to the item. If you have never bought a personalized gift, I strongly recommend one for your man!
Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. Hebrews 13:16
Wallet
A personalized wallet is a great gift for your man. You know that he will carry it wherever he goes, and you can say something from the heart. Plus, you’ll know that every time he pulls out his wallet, he will be reminded of that sweet thing you said and YOU!

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Luke 12:34
Journal
Does your guy take sermon notes? What about notes in a meeting at work? Does he love to journal or take notes when he reads the Bible? A personalized journal would be a lovely gift. What an elegant way to show you care!

Keychain
A personalized keychain is another sweet personalized gift. This gift will give you a chance to say, I love you, in a precious way. If you enjoy hunting around on Etsy, eBay, or Amazon, you’ll love shopping around for this personalized keychain!

Command Center
I purchased a personalized command center for my husband, and it has been a real hit around the house. We keep it front and center. That way, he can place his keychain, wallet, and other accessories that end up making a mess there. It’s a really great gift!
However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband. Ephesians 5:33
Coffee Mug
My husband really loves coffee. He has many personalized coffee mugs from different places. It is so special to drag out a coffee mug from a loved one and remember how much they care. If your man is a coffee fan, be sure to accessorize your gifts with a coffee mug!
We love because He first loved us. 1 John 4:19
Briefcase
Many men go to work each day. However, since COVID, some men work from home. Still, they have a ton of papers. I know because my husband doesn’t even work from home, and he still has papers overflowing in the rooms he goes into! A personalized briefcase is a lifesaver!
Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth. 1 John 3:18
Bible
So, in case you didn’t know, I am somewhat of a Bible addict. Maybe we should say “collector.” Anyway, I love my Bibles (and those of my husband)! So, as you predicted, I have purchased more than one personalized Bible for my man. What about you?
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7
Bible Cover
We always want our Bibles to be protected, right? I don’t actually think that I have ever bought my special guy a Bible cover, even though I’ve purchased many Bibles for him. I love the leather Bible covers on Amazon, so I would suggest looking around to find what he will love!

And above all these, put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. Colossians 3:14
Coaster Set
You can easily get a personalized coaster set from Amazon if you wish. I’m sure there are some great ones that are homemade on Etsy. They have the cutest stuff! eBay is similar to Amazon, but you can often find rare items there. Find one that’s your family’s style!

Canvas Picture
A personalized canvas picture is one of my favorite gifts. I believe we bought our picture together, though. It has one of my favorite pictures of us on there, and I believe we purchased it on Amazon for less than $50. It covers one wall in our living room!

With all humility and gentleness, with patience, bear with one another in love. Ephesians 4:2
Watch
Many men wear watches each day, regardless of their profession. Does your man wear a watch daily? Wouldn’t he love a personalized watch from you? He’ll think of you each time he lifts his wrist to try to tell the time! You’ll be attached to him all day long without even trying!
Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:7
Do-It-Yourself Gifts for Men
When my husband and I were dating, I made a DIY gift for him, and over the years, he has really loved looking back through it. If you are short on funds and need to make a budget-friendly gift for your man, one of these is a sure-fire way to get his attention!

T-Shirt Quilt
I’ve always wanted a DIY t-shirt quilt! My husband has also! We even found t-shirts to put on it. For example, he mostly had concert t-shirts. My collection had art I’d made in High School, class logos from the schools that I have attended, and a plethora of others! What a gift!
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace. 1 Peter 4:10
Personalized Notebook
On my husband’s 40th birthday (long-ago!)I made him a personalized binder. It had local hunting and fishing (his favorite sports) places listed. There were a ton of recipes, because he loves to cook. I also included little love poems, beautiful love pictures, and more!

To make a special DIY memory box, you will need a shoebox that you’ve decorated with white paper or wrapping paper. You might stick a label on it with your names on it. Inside, put special little items that he will love to receive and be shocked that he got! Think poems, love letters, etc.
