If you are like me, you probably find that life hands you a lot of struggles. Often, we get one trouble after another. Sometimes, this is to the point that they are toppling one on another, like a stack of pancakes. I’ll give you a small example.
We recently moved across the state, a first for us in the past 15 years. That provided us with plenty of stress, so much that I got stress hives! Once we moved in, we had plumbing issues for days. Again, it was like a stack of pancake-sized problems. Let’s look at some solutions now.

Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” – Matthew 28:20
For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. – Romans 8:38-39
I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. – Romans 8:18
How to Experience God’s Joy in Trials (10 Solutions)
As you go through trials, remember to aim for joy rather than complaining about your problems. It is a learned skill, but if you practice it, over time, it’ll come naturally.
#1. Trust God’s Plan.
God has a plan for your life and the lives of everyone who loves Him. There are many ways that you can be useful to the Lord. He gives specific gifts and talents to each of us. Keep in mind that we are all created in unique ways. We are each special and loved in His eyes.

As you move along through trials in this life, remember that (1) God has a plan for you, a purpose. (2) Listen to Him. He will nudge you as you go along and lead you along His plan. (3) Obedience is key. Many people in the Bible didn’t like “their” path, but they obeyed
Job had many trials, but the whole time that he was going through turmoil after turmoil, he trusted God and stood firm in his faith. Paul, Abraham, and Peter are more examples of those who obeyed God through difficult times.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart! Always remember that.
#2. Absorb the Bible.
It might sound funny to hear someone advise you to “absorb the Bible.” I say this because everyone should be reading the Bible as much as possible, and when it comes to Bible study, it can get quite overwhelming. How do you know when and where to start?

#3. Pray It Out.
There are many ways to pray. You can keep it simple with just a prayer notebook. I call mine a War Binder because I go to war with the enemy. Speaking to God intensely about my problems makes me feel closer to Him. Talk out loud to God or whisper a prayer in your head.

Fight the enemy with God on your side! Remember, you are on the winning side!
#4. Connect with God Through Service.
My husband has served others without the expectation of getting anything back. He says that you can see they like and enjoy what you’ve done. It might be that your actions are the only thing that encourages them to go to church each week. You might be the light in their darkness.
Service not only connects you to others. It also brings joy to your soul!
#5. Enjoy Nature.
Seeing everything come alive and knowing that the animals, the sunrises, the breeze, the calmness, and the sunset are all created by our God brings peace and love. It’s like witnessing God’s creation first-hand. Seeing God in nature can be a phenomenal experience.
Find peace and tranquility in nature. It’s a new way to appreciate the Lord!
#6. Refocus Your Attention.
Sometimes, we just need to turn off the screens and refocus our attention on the Lord. If you find this difficult, set a timer. Then, tell yourself that you will spend 30 minutes with God. You can spend this time praying, reading your Bible, or spending time in nature. Later, make it an hour!

Spending time with the Lord will enlighten your soul and bless you wholly!
#7. Be Grateful.
Gratitude posts and printables can help you be more thankful. Remember, if you spend time thinking of what your blessings are, even if they are few and small, you won’t gripe and complain so much. Count your blessings often and let go of your woes.
Count your blessings often and let go of your woes.
#8. Praise and Worship God.
Learn how to praise God if you do not already know how to. Praising the Lord dates back to the first books of the Bible. They worshiped and praised God because they loved Him and knew He was the Holy Creator of all. He then blessed them for their actions.
You can’t halfway praise and worship God. Use your whole heart!
#9. Meditate on Helpful Scriptures.
Above, I listed many Bible verses that can truly uplift your soul. What I did to find those is read a thread about what helped a variety of people who were going through different struggles. What Scriptures have helped you in the past? Write them down in a notebook for the future.
Read your Bible regularly, and cheer will come your way!
#10. Let Go of Regret, and Focus on Hope.
Focus on eternal rewards, not what you could have done differently. When we keep our thoughts on regrets, it’s easy to become hopeless. Instead, think ahead. Know that God has good plans for you, and you are going to be okay.

Don’t focus on regrets. That will only bring you down. Be happy instead!
Conclusion
If you are trying to experience God’s joy in trials, I hope one of these solutions helps you in your struggles. Maybe you feel hopeless or down about the things that are going wrong. Do you think one of the solutions for struggles will help you feel better? Leave a comment, please!
